This year will be my 17th year as an educator, and I'm excited to be the next school librarian at H.E. Corley Elementary!
Athough I'm originally from Lexington County, I lived most of my adult life in the Charlotte area after earning my undergraduate degree in Elementary Education at Winthrop University. In addition to teaching 3rd and 4th grade students, I have also spent half of my career as a school librarian after earning my Masters in Library Science at Appalachian State University.
My husband and I have been happily married for 14 years, and my stepdaughter Courtney just graduated from Agnes Scott College in Atlanta. We have three spoiled fur babies at home, a Pomeranian named Molly, and two very furry Bernese Mountain Dogs, named Phoenix and Willow.
In my free time, of course I love to read! I also spend my time shopping with my husband and working on DIY projects around the house. I love pretty much any kind of music and really enjoy going to live shows.
I'm looking forward to another exciting and successful school year at HEC!
