Mrs. Andrea Brooks

Hello, My name is Andrea Brooks! Welcome to another exciting school year at Leaphart Elementary, my favorite place to help educate our incoming 2022-2023 second graders. My teaching background includes supporting fifth graders last year at Leaphart and prior to that, first graders in Lexington District One. I absolutely love teaching highly impressionable little humans and giving them a great start to becoming lifelong learners. To watch these little ones achieve academic, social and emotional growth throughout the school year warms my heart. I truly believe that every person that steps into the classroom has something positive to offer others. This is true in my personal life too! My husband, George and I met in college in the Great Lakes State of Michigan. We both believe in the power of education, as he is working to complete his doctorate in Mathematics at the University of South Carolina. Relocating to South Carolina has been a remarkable experience for our family. As a mom of thirteen years, raising three children (and our dog Clark), I'm extremely blessed to be sharing my life’s work with the great community of Lexington Richland Five. Just know, I am here for YOU!!!
