Hi! My name is Mrs. Philip and I am so excited that I will be your Third Grade teacher! I look forward to getting to know each and every one of you...and to sharing a fun year of learning, growing and trying new things! 

This will be my 3rd year teaching, and my 1st year teaching at LMES. However, I have worked at LMES as an Instructional Assistant for the past three years. I love teaching and watching little minds shape and mold into wonderful readers, writers, mathematicians, and explorers. My favorite thing in the whole world is seeing something click for a student and knowing that they get it! 

I graduated with my Bachelor's Degree from the University of Central Florida in 1999...Go Knights! I am certified for Elementary Education in the state of South Carolina and look forward to continuing my own education in the near future! You are never too old to go to school or learn something new!

I was born and raised in Richmond, VA and eventually moved to Orlando, FL for college. I met my husband at UCF and we have now been married for almost 23 years!  We have three children- Madison (19), Emily (17), and Noah (14). Our favorite things to do together as a family are watch movies, watch football, and go to Disney! We have two adorable Maltipoos named Max and Chewie...as in Chewbacca, because we love Star Wars! Our family stays very busy...but we always have time to laugh and have fun.

In a nutshell, I have always loved kids and teaching has always been my dream. My goal is to always create an engaging and safe learning environment for your children and get them ready for Fourth Grade! Thank you in advance for making this a great year!
