Hello Ballentine Families!! My name is Kaylyn Edmondson, a 3rd grade teacher at Ballentine Elementary. 

Teaching is an absolute passion of mine & I’m so excited to have the opportunity to work with you and your child! It’s going to be a year full of fun, learning, and growth!  Since we will be together for the school year, I thought you might like to know a little about me:

This is my fifth year as an elementary school teacher and my first year teaching at Ballentine Elementary. I have two wonderful children. My son is three years old and my daughter is 1 year old. 

I was born and raised in Florence, SC. I moved to NC for college and I have spent the last several years there. Last summer I moved to Columbia , and have loved being part of this community.  I attended the University of North Carolina-Wilmington and graduated in 2016. Go SeaHawks! 

It is my mission to instill a love for learning in each of my students. I attempt to teach with such a passion that students develop a desire to become lifelong learners! Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns. It is very important to me to keep communication open between us & I would love to talk to you whenever you feel the need. I look forward to a great year together!

Reminders: 

Please send your child a snack and a water bottle every day. They will also need to bring their fully charged device and charger. On Wednesday, students will have walking club in the gym in the mornings, and PE as their related area. They must wear tennis shoes to participate.
