Mrs. Missa Shields

My name is Missa Shields and I cannot wait for our year together! This is my 4th year teaching first grade and I am excited to continue my journey at HE Corley. I graduated from Winthrop University with a bachelor's in Early Childhood Education and an endorsement in Gifted and Talented Education. I am passionate about education and believe that all students can learn with the right support in place. I aim to meet each student where they are to continue their social emotional, academic, and physical growth while they are in my care. I live in Irmo with my husband, our daughter, and a sweet Aussiedoodle named Ellie Mae. In my spare time I volunteer, read, and hike with my family and friends.
