Mrs. Rachel Avery

I am excited about starting my 16th year at HWES. I started in 2006 as a Kindergarten Assistant. The following year, I led a reading lab. Every year since, I have been an Instructional Assistant and the Student Technology Lead in 2019. I graduated from the University of Phoenix with a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education. Working with students is my passion and HWES is the place for me. When I'm not at school, I enjoy traveling, fishing, hunting and spending time with friends and family.  My husband and I have been married for 14 years and we have a very active 19-month-old little boy. I am looking forward to another year at Harbison West.
