Rachel Shealy

Hi! My name is Rachel Shealy and I will be the Orchestra Director at Chapin Middle School. This will be my second year teaching and my first at Chapin.  I'm looking forward to a great year!

I'm originally from SC, and I graduated from Furman University with a Bachelor of Music degree in Instrumental Music Education.  While at Furman, I performed with the Symphony Orchestra, Marching Band, and Jazz Band.  I taught middle school in Aiken County last year before moving back home. 

My professional affiliations are with the National Association for Music Education (NAfME), and the South Carolina Music Educator Association (SCMEA).  I enjoy performing in multiple different ensembles and playing music whenever I can! In my free time I also enjoy hiking and reading.
