Thanks for taking the time to visit my page! I am a Reading Interventionist at Oak Pointe Elementary. I have been teaching for 19 years, but have only started this adventure as a "Super Readers" teacher a few years ago. I taught first grade for many of those 19 years and loved every minute of it. But, reading is my most favorite thing to teach so when I was given the opportunity to do that ALL day long, I couldn't help but give it a try!! I am enjoying my new adventure as a reading interventionist here at OPES (the best school evah!)
I attended Lander University and received my bachelors degree in early and elementary education. After beginning my teaching career, I went back to school to work on my Master's degree. In 2011, I received a Master's degree in Language and Literacy from USC.
At home I like to spend time with my family. I am married and we have two children. Carson is thirteen years old and in the eighth grade at Dutch Fork Middle School. Kate is nine years old and in the fourth grade here at Oak Pointe. Our family loves to have movie nights, ride bikes and just be together. We spend a lot of time on the soccer fields with both kids playing and loving this sport. We are very busy, like most of you!
