Mrs. Anderson

My name is Heather Anderson and I am excited about teaching kindergarten this year! I married my high school sweetheart, Kyle, in March! We have two fur babies: a toy yorkie named Georgia and a chocolate lab named Boone. As you can tell by my yorkie’s name, I am a HUGE Georgia Bulldogs fan! GO DAWGS! I love going to Georgia football games with my family! I also love to play and coach volleyball and visit the beach! The beach is my happy place! I love sticking my feet in the sand and water and reading a good book! 

I graduated from Winthrop University in 2016 with a dual certification in early childhood and elementary education. I began my teaching career at Pelion Elementary School in Lexington One where I taught kindergarten for six years. This will be my second year teaching at River Springs! As a River Springs graduate myself, I am so excited to get to teach in my home school and give back to the community that gave so much to me growing up!
