Jessica Jones selected as the 2017 South Carolina Association of Agriculture Educators Outstanding Young Member

The Center’s Veterinary Science and Technology Instructor, Jessica Jones, has been selected as the 2017 South Carolina Association of Agriculture Educators (SCAAE) Outstanding Young Member.

The Outstanding Young Member Award program recognizes teachers in their third, fourth, or fifth year of teaching. The award is a means of encouraging young teachers to remain in the profession and to encourage and recognize participation in professional activities.

Ms. Jones writes in her application, “I am passionate about igniting my students’ interest in veterinary medicine.” She also says, “I love it when students tell me how they have applied the things they learn in class to their pets at home or in their jobs. This rekindles my passion each and every day.”

The Center is proud of Ms. Jones and this accomplishment! Should she win at the regional level, Ms. Jones will be recognized at the NAAE Convention in November.
