Meal distribution update for students 7-12

Meal distribution update for students 7-12

In-person students in grades 7-12 returning to a hybrid learning model will receive meals for 2 days to take home from their school, including some items that may be frozen and will need to be refrigerated when the child arrives home from school. Please visit the Student Nutrition website for proper heating instructions: https://bit.ly/3mMzCZQ.

On Wednesday, Dec. 9 and Wednesday, Dec. 16 a meal option will be provided to parents of hybrid students at three locations:

    • Chapin High School (bus loop) – 12:00 p.m.-1:30 p.m.
    • Dutch Fork High School (bus loop) - 12:00 p.m.-1:30 p.m.
    • Irmo High School (bus loop) - 12:00 p.m.–1:30 p.m

(Hybrid students will receive a 3-day meal supply per week)

Meals will continue to be available for FIVE students at three locations on Wednesdays:

    • Chapin High School (bus loop) – 12:00 p.m.-1:30 p.m.
    • Dutch Fork High School (bus loop) - 12:00 p.m.-1:30 p.m.
    • Irmo High School (bus loop) - 12:00 p.m.–1:30 p.m.

Though students are not required to be present at feeding sites, parents will be required to show their students' ID cards, if they have them. If they do not have them, they will be required to sign their name and list their children’s names in order to receive the meals. Per the guidelines of the federal USDA waiver, these steps are taken to maintain the integrity of the program, while providing flexibility for parents.
